Type Specimen Poster
Initially starting with cut out pieces of paper, we were asked to create a set of modular type.
I chose to use the shapes and movement that I did for my typeface in order to communicate the playful aspect of my subject matter. I had an idea of what I wanted to use this typeface for as I was developing my ideas, so I was shaping the feeling alongside the final design. I wanted to use variations of the colors of the Filipino flag (yellow, blue, and red) throughout my design to not only create a sense of playfulness, but a sense of familiarity.
